Tess Liautaud with Jessie Rose Shanks SLEEPLESS IN EUROPE TOUR
The music of Franco-American, now New Zealand’s folk sweetheart, Tess Liautaud, can not be easily defined. It hangs in the balance of her voice, warm like honey; it carries a depth of raw emotion, delivered with melodic grace and country soul.
This September Liautaud will be joined by banjo-frailing folk musician Jessie Rose Shanks on her Sleepless in Europe tour. Together they weave a sound as old as the hills, performing dreamy ballads and country twangers steeped in time and place, a little bit sage, a touch playful and full to the brim with heart.
“Guitar picking, banjo frailing, melodic grace and old-time soul”.
with support from DOMINO LEWIS Domino Lewis is singer-songwriter based in Paris, France.
Born in France but raised on Gordon Lightfoot and Joan Baez, Domino found out quite early that she liked music, and then a little later that she wanted to make her own.
From writing her first songs in her bedroom around age 15 to performing them on stage in Chicago, starting in 2016, she tried to keep her voice intact while exploring the wide variety of her own influences, ranging from the folk classics of Tom Paxton and Kate Wolf to contemporary voices such as Dori Freeman, the Secret Sisters or Sierra Ferrell.
This last year, Domino played on stage in the States, touring in Austin, Nashville, Knoxville, Roanoke and D.C, as well as a short European spell across Switzerland and Germany. She opened for Texas guitarist Hayden Pedigo in Paris, played at the historic Francofolies festival in La Rochelle (with band Paris Lonestar Club), and is played this summer at Kerwax festival and bluegrass Herbe Bleue festival in France. She's excited for what's to come, and hopes you are too.
