Tess Liautaud, a French-American songwriter and guitarist based in New Zealand, arrives in Europe to present her latest studio album, 'Blue Mind', a moving work with soft resonances of Laurel Canyon with echoes of Jackson Browne, Lydia Loveless and Mazzy Star. Tess began her career in the Parisian folk scene, where she quickly distinguished herself with the quality of her songs and her captivating live performances. In a relatively short time, she made a name for herself and was invited to share the stage with artists such as Glen Hansard and Springsteen. More recently, she opened for country music legend Tami Neilson. Now based in New Zealand, she is one of the leading figures in its vibrant country rock scene. Her brilliant songwriting and warm, emotive voice have earned her acclaim and a growing fanbase. Following his self-titled debut album in 2022, Liautaud surprised critics and the general public in 2024 with Blue Mind (Flying Nun/Leather Jackets), selling out all twelve dates of his 'Gold Digger' tour last year. Blue Mind was very positively received by specialized critics and opened the doors for him to carry out his first European tour, 'Sleepless in Europe', where he received a warm welcome in Spain, Sweden, Holland, the United Kingdom and, as could not be otherwise, in France, both as a headliner and sharing it with artists of the stature of Sarah Lee Guthrie and Ward Hayden & The Outliers. In November, she will be performing at the 11th edition of Music Boxes, accompanied on banjo and guitar by Jessie Rose Shanks. Together they have developed their own unique approach to roots music.
